Hotswap

ERI's Hotswap program provides assurance of minimal downtime while eliminating the requirement for an onsite backup unit. While Sony's warranty service is comprehensive, you may experience timely delays in repairing and returning the equipment.

If the unit malfunctions within the original warranty period, ERI will overnight a replacement unit and will arrange for the broken unit to be sent back to ERI. The original warranty period is not affected and is still based on the original purchase date.

ERI offers a three year Hotswap on all Sony Medical Grade Monitors and either a one or two year Hotswap on all Sony Medical Grade Printers and Sony Medical Grade DVD Recorders. You must enroll in the Hotswap Program within 72-hours of the original peripheral purchase.

Extended Warranty

Sony provides a one year warranty with its Medical Grade Printers and Medical Grade DVD Recorders with a one year warranty. ERI offers extended warranties for these products and eliminates expensive the possibility of expensive repair costs in the second year of ownership.

If the peripheral malfunctions within one year of purchase, the item is sent to Sony Medical for warranty repair. After this initial one year period, the item is sent to ERI for warranty repair.

ERI's warranty policy is very similar to Sony Medicals. The product to be repaired is to be returned in either its original carton or a similar package affording an equal degree of protection. ERI will return the unit prepaid to customer. ERI is not obligated to provide a replacement or loaner during the warranty period.

ERI shall have no liability or obligation to purchaser with respect to any product requiring service during the warranty period which is subjected to any of the following: abuse, improper use, negligence, accident, modification or failure of the end-user to follow the operating procedures outlined in the user's manual. ERI also excludes from warranty coverage products located outside the United States and Puerto Rico. You must enroll in the Extended Warranty Program within 72-hours of the original peripheral purchase.
